3/7 Stables at Barrow Court

Former Stable Range, now housing. Dated 1891. Squared and coursed rubble with stone dressings, copings, concrete pantile roofs and ashlar stacks. Main entrance range with adjoining rear ranges forming U shaped plan. 1 storey and attic, 6-bay entrance range. Windows are 2-light ovolo mullions with hoodmoulds and small pane glazing, those on the ground floor under flush relieving arches, those to the upper floor set within gabled dormers. Central pointed-arched carriage entrance with 2-leaf plank gates, Tudor-arched doorways either side with plank doors. Clockface in central gable above carriage arch with date and the legend: 'COME IN TIME'. 3 ridge stacks with central open cupola with wooden corner piers and lead cap with weathervane. The inner courtyard ranges have been extensively altered.
