3/6 Tithe Barn at Barrow Court 31.3.78 G.V. II*

Former Tithe Barn, now house. C14. Large squared and irregular coursed rubble with flush rusticated dressed stone quoins, stone copings and pantile roof. East facade facing house with central midstrey with lean-to projecting porch hood on brackets and C20 glazed 2-leaf door. West facade has central former carriage arch with 2-leaf C19 plank gates permanently fixed back to the side walls and glazed 2-leaf door. Windows to this facade are C20 three-light chamfered mullions. Steeply pitched gabled roof. Interior. The conversion has a central double-height area from which the roof beams are visible; they are supported on chamfered limestone corbels and comprise a simple through purlin, collar and tie structure.
