Description

VICTORIA ROAD 1. 5121 (West Side) Fountain in grounds to south of St Brandon's School ST 4071 1/125A II GV 2. Ornate stone fountain dating from second half of C19. Tall circular stem supports a bowl with central pedestal and carved female figure (in Grecian style) stepping forward on top. Carved dolphins to pedestal. Angels and lions masks to underside of bowl. Stem of fountain has angels and centaur heads with swags. Scrollwork to base. Basins at foot of fountain have sides shaped in ogee curves.

St Brandon's School for Girls, The Fountain, Outbuilding to north, Lodge at north entrance, and Boundary Wall at Elton Road form a group.
