Description
Osborne House and Richmond House, located at 14 and 15 Elton Road, were built around 1860. This three-storey building, plus basement, features an ashlar front with a cornice and blocking course. The design includes banded quoins at the base and incised pilasters above the first-floor cornice, which is supported by brackets. The building has four windows with architrave surrounds, and the sashes have glazing bars only on the second floor. The ground and first floors are adorned with cornices on volutes. There is a wrought-iron handrail at the ground floor of No 14, and the entrances are located on the sides. This pair of houses forms a group with Nos 12 and 13 across the street and Norfolk House.
