Description

Norfolk House is a three-storey house with a basement, dating from the mid-19th century and overlooking the sea. The front is constructed of ashlar, with a central recessed section. Cornices are present above the first and second floors; the first-floor cornice features dentils. A blocking course at the eaves level includes a curved central parapet flanked by volutes. Paired pilasters rise up the upper floors, and the ground floor features banded rustication. There are three windows with architrave surrounds. Cornices on volutes adorn the ground and first floors. The windows are sash windows, some of which have lost their glazing bars. Three-light windows are flanked by a central Ionic porch with a balustraded parapet, leading to a double door accessed by five steps. Norfolk House forms a group with numbers 12 to 15.
