Description
The boundary wall at St Brendon's School for Girls is a Grade II listed structure, likely built in the mid-19th century. It surrounds the school grounds to the south, west, and north, running west along Old Church Road, turning the corner into Elton Road, and continuing north before curving east along a footpath leading to Victoria Road. The wall is constructed from coursed rubble blocks and features a slight batter at the base. It has plain square buttresses with low pyramidal tops that divide the wall into sections. On Old Church Road, there is a blocked pedestrian doorway with rusticated voussoirs and a keystone. To the east of the doorway, the wall returns to the north. This boundary wall, along with the Fountain, an outbuilding to the north, and the Lodge at the north entrance on Victoria Road, forms a cohesive group.
