Description
The wall along the west side, from the churchyard gate to the High Street corner, is a Grade II listed structure. This rubble stone wall, which may date from the early 19th century, was originally the boundary wall of the grounds of Seend House, and it now serves The Old Stables and Church Corner Lodge. The wall stands approximately 4 meters high and stretches about 100 meters in length, with a break for the entrance to The Old Stables. The interior of the wall is partly lined with brick. It plays an important role in framing the view down to the church and is included in the listing for its group value.
