Description
The Kemp monument, located south-east of the gateway to the churchyard of the Church of the Holy Cross, is a chest tomb from the early 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar and features two plaques on each side, with vase baluster angles. The monument has a moulded base and cornice, along with a fluted frieze. The north side has a decipherable date of 1827, while the south side bears an inscription commemorating Jane Kemp, who died in 1862.
