Description

Two monuments to the Pace and Norcott families are located in the churchyard, 1.5 metres north of the nave of the Church of St Mary and St Edward. The monuments consist of two chest tombs made of limestone. The Pace family monument dates from the 17th century, with the earliest date being 1644. It features a cyma recta slab and angle pilasters adorned with incised roundel decoration. The north side has two blank panels, while the south side has a reset inscription tablet with Latin script. The Norcott family monument is from the 18th century, with the earliest date being 1742. It also has a cyma recta slab and vine spray angle pilasters, along with raised and fielded panels on each side that display inscriptions in florid script.
