Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located 18 metres east of the east end of All Saints Church in Kingston Seymour. It dates from the 15th or 16th century and is a large, squat structure. The tomb features a once heavily moulded slab that rests on panels adorned with deep quatrefoils, all set on a hollow chamfered plinth. It is reputed to be the burial site of a member of the Bulbeck family, who were landholders in Kingston Seymour during the Tudor period.
