Description
This farmbuilding, located approximately 20 meters north-north-east of Annet Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century and was formerly used as a threshing barn, cowhouse, and stables. It is constructed from roughly coursed granite rubble and features a corrugated asbestos roof. The building is two storeys high and has a two-window range on the first floor. There are shutters on the first-floor loft doors, which are set above granite lintels over the outer doorways and two central windows. Additionally, there is a hole for a drive shaft that powered a threshing machine, and steps lead to the first-floor door in the left gable. This structure is a notable example of an advanced type of farmbuilding, situated on an island that was once recognized for its fertile, corn-bearing soil.
