Description
The Old School House is a detached school building that has been converted into a private residence. It dates from the late 19th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The exterior features rendered walls painted white and a slate roof that has a gable end on the left side and a hipped roof on the right. There are brick stacks located on the ridge at both the left and right of the center. The building is two storeys high and has four windows, which are two-light wooden casements with lead lights and wooden cills. The front doorway is positioned to the right of center and features a moulded depressed-arch head with stop-chamfers. The door itself is a 20th-century glazed design. Additionally, there is a brick porch with a round-headed entrance and a slate roof that has stone gable-coping.
