Description
The Manor House and attached coach house, located on Kingcombe Road in Toller Porcorum, dates from around 1800. The house features rubble-stone walls with dressed stone quoins and brick detailing around the windows. It has a thatched roof with stone gable copings and rebuilt 20th-century brick chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has three sash windows with thin glazing bars, consisting of 16 panes, along with a 12-pane sash window above the front door. The central entrance has a two-leaf door leading to a porch. At the rear, there is a 19th-century wing with sash windows that also have glazing bars.
The attached coach house, situated on the north gable end, is from the early 19th century and has rubble-stone walls and a slate roof. Its entrance is on the west face, opposite the house, featuring a wide elliptical arch in brick with two-leaf blank doors. The upper floor of the coach house has been converted into a flat and includes re-used three-light stone mullions with lead lights. The Lodge at the north end is noted as not being of special interest.
