2/134 Mary Jane Cottage (formerly 26-1-56 listed as Cottage opposite GV II The Old School Lo SE)

Detached Cottage. C17, or earlier, with C20 rebuilding at rear. Chalk block and cob walls, and flint rubble. Brick quoins. Thatch roof, with gable-end at left hand and hipped at right hand. Brick stacks on ridge, left of centre, and at junction with front wing, both C20 rebuilds. 1½ storeys. 2 windows, 2-light wooden casements with glazing-bars, wooden cills and lintels. Door, left of front wing, C20 with 9 upper lights. (RCHM Dorset I, p.253(5))
