Description
Chapel Farm Cottage, including the garage immediately west of the house, is a detached cottage that was likely built in the 18th century and originally served as a small farmhouse. The cottage features plastered cob walls and a thatched roof, with brick stacks at each end. It is positioned at right angles to the road and consists of one storey with attics. The entrance includes a ledged door set within a thatched porch. On the ground floor, there are four casement windows with horizontal bars in the center. The attic features three dormers, each with similar casements. To the left of the cottage, there is a small single-storey extension that connects to a single-storey range at right angles to the house, which incorporates a former stable. Inside, the cottage boasts a large open fireplace with a bread oven and some exposed ceiling beams. The garage to the west of the house, which was originally a farm building, is constructed of cob and also has a thatched roof. The original house remains largely unaltered.
