Description

Japonica Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of whitewashed rubble and features a thatched roof with end brick stacks. The building has two storeys and a three-window range, with 2-light casements that include glazing bars. The ground floor openings have segmental heads, and there is a central 20th-century door. Inside, notable features include stop-chamfered beams and an open fireplace with a cambered and chamfered bressummer.
