Description
Greensleeves is a house dating from the early 16th century, with various later alterations and additions. It is timber framed and has a partial Flemish bond brick facing. The thatched roof features brick stacks at both ends and on the right ridge. The house has one and a half storeys and a window range that includes 20th-century two and five-light casements with horizontal glazing bars, except for a similar window on the left side of the ground floor, which lacks glazing bars. There is also a 20th-century plank door. Inside, notable features include open fireplaces with chamfered bressummers, plank and muntin partitions, and several exposed jointed cruck-trusses. The chimney appears to have been added in the 17th century, and the building may have originally been open to the roof with a central hearth.
