Description

Cox House is a house dating from the 16th century, with extensive later alterations. It features a timber frame that is partially encased in Flemish bond brickwork, with some parts rendered and whitewashed. The roof is thatched and has brick stacks at the ends and to the left of center. The house is two storeys tall and has a four-window range. The ground floor openings have segmental brick heads, and the casements have glazing bars, with three lights above and two lights below. There is a panelled door to the right of the range, and a doorway with a chamfered four-centred arch on the rear wall, which is likely a reset feature. Inside, some chamfered ceiling beams and wall-plates are exposed.
