Description
No. 6 New Street is a small, isolated house that was once part of a row, dating from the early 19th century. The front is made of painted brick, with rendered gables and a painted rubble back. It features an asbestos-cement slate mansard roof and has two storeys plus an attic. The house has one window, which includes two 4-pane sash raking dormers above a 2-storey bow window with 8:12:8 panes and a dentil top cornice. To the right of the bow window, there is a 19th-century flush 6-panel door with a plain fanlight, set in a deep reveal and accessed by two stone steps. The building also has a plinth, a mid plat band, and a stack on the left side. The property is topped with a deep single-span mansard roof. The interior has not been inspected.
