Description

Nos. 2 and 3, High Street, form part of a terrace, likely dating from the 17th century. The walls are a mix of brick, stone, and plaster, with tiled roofs and a brick stack. The buildings are one storey high with attics. No. 2 features a ledged door with a small glass panel, and two casement windows with central glazing bars on the ground floor. The attic has two half-dormers with casements incorporating glazing bars, and the roof tiling sweeps over these dormers. No. 3 has one casement window with glazing bars on its ground floor, and two similar half-dormers in the attic. An entrance is located in the south gable wall.

Inside No. 2, the main ground floor room contains a large open fireplace, which is partially blocked. Within the main ground floor room of No. 3, there is a large open fireplace with stone jambs and a moulded timber lintel, possibly re-set. A single chamfered ceiling beam is also present.
