Description
The five table tombs located approximately 5 metres north of the church date from the late 18th century to the 19th century and are made of stone. The first tomb is dedicated to Peter Clapcott, who died in 1813, featuring fielded panels and corner pilasters arranged in two tiers. The second tomb commemorates James Warden, who died in a duel on 28 April 1792, and Elizabeth Newell Warden, who passed away in 1798. The third tomb, dating from the early to mid-18th century, has a large chamfered cornice. The fourth tomb, made of stone and blue lias, dates from around 1830 and has reeded pilaster corners, although its sides are very decayed. The fifth tomb is broken and very plain, with an unknown date.
