Description

This is an 18th-century detached farmhouse, originally associated with Morden Mill. The house is constructed of brick with areas of burnt header patterning, and has a tiled roof with stone eaves courses and brick end stacks. It follows an L-shaped plan. The main range is two storeys high, with single-storey lean-tos having tiled roofs extending from each end and the rear. A central four-panel door provides access to the house. On the ground floor are two casement windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has three similar windows, all set under segmental arches. A two-storeyed rear wing, built using similar materials and detailing, adjoins the main range. Inside the rear wing is a large open fireplace and a chamfered ceiling beam. The interior also features several 18th-century raised panel doors.
