Description
The Cock and Bottle Inn is a public house that dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with an extension added in the mid-19th century. It features brick walls and a combination of tiled and slated roofs, with a central brick chimney stack. The original central section has a tiled roof and is two storeys high. There are two doors, one located in a brick gabled porch. On the ground floor, there are two casement windows with glazing bars, one of which retains old shutters. The first floor also has two similar windows. To the south, there is a lower single-storey range, possibly a former outbuilding, which has a tiled roof and three casement windows with glazing bars. To the north, there is a later, taller 19th-century range with a slate roof and ornamental bargeboards, featuring two casement windows with glazing bars on each floor. Additionally, there is a lean-to extension to the north, which has a slate roof.
