Description

This is a barn located 10 metres north-west of Holway Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century, with a later extension to the north. The barn features a rubble-stone plinth and walls made of ashlar chalk blocks, with brick quoins. It has a hipped thatch roof that is gabled on the right side and includes a continuous outshut at the rear. On the east side, there are two loops and flush central plank doors. The west side has a projecting porch with brick jambs and a hipped thatch roof. The northern extension has the same wall construction as the original barn but features a corrugated iron roof. The entrance on the east side lacks doors and has two loops to the right, along with a plank loft door at the north end.
