Description
This is a barn with additions, built in the late 19th century, specifically dated 1888 on a tie-beam found inside. The barn features rubble-stone walls and a slate roof that has gable ends with stone gable copings, complete with intact ball finials. There is a porch at the center of the west face, which has long sides. The entrance consists of two-leaf plank doors with a wooden lintel and weatherboarding above. Attached to the east side of the barn is an engine house, which is a square shed that has a blocked hole leading into the barn. Additionally, loose boxes have been added to the west face of the barn, flanking the porch and covered by a pentice slate roof. Each side has two plank doors. The roof structure includes a king-post with diagonal strutting.
