COOMBE KEYNES MAIN STREET (North Side) West Coombe Farmhhouse (formerly listed as West Farm Cottage)

Farmhouse. Front (east) wing C19, rear wing C17 - this probably the original house. Walls, front wing of stone, plastered on south gable - rear wing of brick on stone base, raised in plastered cob. Slate roofs, brick stacks. Two storeys. Main elevation has part-glazed panelled door. Ground floor has two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. First floor has three similar windows. Rear wing has, on south elevation, one ledged door and one blocked door opening. Ground floor has one horizontally sliding sash window with glazing bars. First floor has one similar window and one casement window with glazing bars. Internally, rear wing has large open firesplace with timber lintel, and moulded ceiling beams. RCHM Monument 6.
