Description
Valley Farmhouse is a farmhouse with a front wing dating from the early 17th century and a rear wing that has an early 17th-century core but was enlarged in the 19th century. The building was renovated and converted into two dwellings in 1982. It has an L-shaped plan. The front wing is timber framed and plastered, with a plaintile roof. It stands two storeys high with an attic and features a three-window range with mid-20th century small pane casements. There is a central doorway with a six-panel door that has raised and fielded panels, along with a frieze and cornice, and an internal stack. The rear wing has a timber framed core that is plastered on the west side, and it has been enlarged and partly cased in brick, topped with a roof of glazed pantiles. This section also has two storeys and an attic, with various casement windows, some of which have square leaded panes.
