Description
East Farm House is a farmhouse that likely dates from the early 19th century and appears to have two different construction phases. The building features colourwashed brick walls and a dentil cornice at the eaves, with a stone gable wall. It has a tiled roof and brick stacks, and stands two storeys tall. The entrance consists of a panelled door set in a gabled trellis porch, which has ornamental bargeboards.
On the ground floor, there are two canted bay windows with slate roofs and double-hung sash windows, along with two casement windows that have glazing bars. The first floor contains three double-hung sash windows and two casements, all with glazing bars. There is a lean-to extension on the west side, which has a hipped tiled roof. The rear wall is partly made of stone. Additionally, there is a two-storeyed lean-to extension with a slate roof, and a projecting two-storeyed wing with a hipped tiled roof, along with a single-storey tiled lean-to, all of which appear to be later additions.
