Description
The Old Parsonage, formerly known as the Old Rectory, is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with a westward extension added in the 19th century. The walls are constructed from a combination of plastered cob and brick. The main roof is thatched and features a parapet on the east gable, while the later extensions have a slated roof. There are brick chimney stacks present. The building has a mix of one and two storeys, with attics.
On the elevation facing the churchyard, the ground floor includes four casement windows with a central glazing bar. The first floor features two double-hung sash windows, also with glazing bars. A modern conservatory is attached to the east gable wall. On the main north elevation, the original section has a part-glazed door set within a trellised porch that has a concave roof. The ground floor here also includes two 19th-century canted bay windows with double-hung sashes. The attic contains three half-dormers, each fitted with sash windows that have glazing bars.
The western extension, made of brick and topped with a slate roof, includes an open verandah with a concave roof, a part-glazed door, and a ledged door. The windows in this section also have glazing bars, and part of the wall is boarded. Additionally, there is a single-storey lean-to on the west side, which has a tiled roof.
