Description

Holmans, located at No. 3 King Street, appears to have originally been three houses, likely Nos 2, 3, and 4. The eastern section is probably from the 18th century and features rendered walls with a modern concrete slate roof and brick stacks. It is two storeys high with an attic. The ground floor has a modern shop front, while the first floor includes two double hung sash windows with glazing bars. The attic has two dormers with flat roofs, also featuring double hung sashes with glazing bars.

The central section is likely a later addition, constructed with brick walls that are rendered up to the first floor level and topped with a slate roof. This part is also two storeys tall, with modern glazed doors on the ground floor and two double hung sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor.

The western section is probably the earliest part, dating back to the 18th century, with brick walls covered in modern tiling up to the first floor level and a tiled roof. It is two storeys high, featuring modern shop windows on the ground floor and one two-light double hung sash window with glazing bars on the first floor. The building is included for its group value.
