Description
Lewcombe Woods Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with a 19th-century refronting and refenestration. The building features rubble-stone walls that are rendered, and it has a slate roof with gable ends and brick stacks at the end gables. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three windows on the front, which are three-light cast-iron casements with glazing bars, and two-light casements above. The central front door is a plank door with two top lights, dating from the 20th century. At the rear, there is a north wing that contains a dairy and cheese room from the 18th century, with brick walls and cast-iron casements featuring segmental brick arches above. The rear wing also has a plank door with wood framing. Inside, the farmhouse has flagstone floors.
