Description

No. 27 Maiden Street is a commercial building that was formerly a public house, dating from the early 19th century. It has a rendered exterior and a slate roof, standing three storeys tall with a basement. The façade features three windows, all of which are sash windows set in reveals with stone sills; the second floor has 12-pane windows, while the ground and first floors have 16-pane windows. At the ground floor, there is a pair of panelled doors located centrally, topped by a transom light and set in reveals. To the right, there is an opening in the pavement providing access to the cellar. The building also has a very small plinth, a moulded cornice with a blocking course, a coped parapet, and end stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
