Description

The Former Riding School at Marabout Barracks, built in 1799, is a rectangular building with a front made of red brick and a back constructed from stone rubble, featuring red brick quoins and facings. Both the front and back display a recessed arcaded design with five bays. The building has flat plastered imposts that run around it as a string course. It features large round-headed and semi-circular windows set within the bays of the arcading. The roof is hipped and covered with slate. The basement, which was previously used as an ammunition store, has battered outside walls.
