Description

POUNDBURY ROAD 1. 5191 (North West Side) Former Riding School, Marabout barracks SY 6890 7/9 II 2. 1799. Rectangular building, front of red brick, back of stone rubble with red brick quoins and facings. Both back and front have recessed arcaded treatment of 5 bays. Flat plastered imposts carried round building as string. Large round headed and semi-circular windows set in bays of arcading. Hipped slate roof. Basement (which was formerly the ammunition store) has battered outside walls.
