Description
Roman House, located in Colliton Park, dates back to shortly after 307 AD and was enlarged around 341 AD. It is the only Roman town house visible in Britain. The structure features an H-shaped west wing that includes a hypocaust and mosaic pavements. Additionally, a south range was added in the 4th century, which contains one heated room and one kitchen, situated well north of the south range. The site was excavated in 1938.
