Description

The Former Granary A, built in 1791, is a 2½-storey, roughly L-shaped structure made of red brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. It features large entrances, including one at the toe with a glazed casement window and a lintel with a tablet above. The rear entrances have simple stone arches. The first-floor windows are set within simple stone arches and are positioned above a stone band that runs around the building. The attic storey is distinguished by bold oculi, and there is a dentil cornice at the eaves level. At the back of the building, there is a housing for a crane hoist.
