Description
No 39 on Friars Street in Crantock is a building dating from around 1840, constructed of yellow brick and featuring two storeys. It has three windows, including twin splay bays, and a bracket eaves cornice with pediments above the bays. The entrance is marked by an Ionic porch, and there is a one-window wing to the left. The recessed sash windows have stone lintels and margin glazing bars. The early construction details are mostly visible at the rear, which includes flush frame sash windows with glazing bars. The property also boasts a fine lawned garden at the back. No 39 is part of a group that includes Nos 27 to 31 (odd), The Friars, and Nos 33 to 45 (odd), as well as Nos 49 and 51.
