Description
The Angel Inn is a 17th to 18th century building located on Friars Street. It is two storeys high, constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, and has tiled roofs. The upper storey features a range of two sash windows with glazing bars set in flush frames. The ground floor has a modern bar front. There is a coved plaster eaves cornice, and to the right, there is a lower two-storey wing that is stuccoed, also with flush frame sashes and glazing bars. The building is included for its group value, as it is part of a collection that includes Nos 27 to 31 (odd), The Friars, and Nos 33 to 45 (odd), Nos 49 and 51.
