Description
35 Friars Street, also known as The Old Print Works, and 35A Friars Street, is likely a 17th-century building with an altered front from the 18th century. It features a wooden eaves cornice and stands two storeys high, constructed from timber framing and plaster, with a tiled roof. The upper storey projects at the front and has two windows that are flush frame sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor includes two splay bay windows. At the back, there are older wings that have been altered. The entrance at No 35 has a six-panel door with a plain wooden case, and there is an open passage leading to the rear on the right. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 27 to 31 (odd), The Friars, and Nos 33 to 45 (odd), as well as Nos 49 and 51.
