Description

26 Friars Street is a building dating from 1692, located on the northwest side of Friars Street. It is two storeys high with attics and features a timber-framed and plastered structure. The building has a tiled mansard roof and a late 18th-century plastered brick front with a parapet. The façade includes a five-window range with sash windows that have glazing bars on the upper storey. There is a central arched doorway that is topped with a fanlight and features a six-panel door. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 24 to 28 (even) and Nos 32 to 68 (even).
