Description

Nos 27 and 29 on Friars Street are 18th century buildings with a front elevation made of plastered brick. They are two stories tall with attics, featuring four dormers and a mansard roof covered in tiles. The buildings have a wooden modillion eaves cornice and a band that runs between the storeys. The upper windows are flush frame sash windows with glazing bars, although the ground floor window has been altered somewhat. These properties, along with Nos 27 to 31 (odd), The Friars, and Nos 33 to 45 (odd), Nos 49 and 51, form a group.
