Description

20 Friars Street is a building dating from 1692, located on the northwest side of Friars Street. It is an early 18th century structure that has undergone some alterations. The building is two storeys high with an attic, constructed of painted brick. It features a moulded cornice below the parapet and a stone coping. There are five recessed sash windows with glazing bars and keyed flat arches on the first floor, along with two square-headed dormers. The roof is covered with old tiles, and the ground floor has been converted into a modern garage. This building is included for its group value, as it forms part of a group with Nos 14 to 20 (even).
