Description

14 and 16 Friars Street is a building dating from 1692, located on the northwest side of Friars Street. This 18th-century structure has been altered and is two storeys high, constructed of painted brick. It features four windows on the first floor, which are altered multi-light sash windows with glazing bars and keyed segmental arches. The roof is covered with old tiles and has a white brick chimney. There is a passageway on the right side with a keyed flat arch. The ground floor is occupied by shops. This building is included for its group value, as it is part of a group with Nos 14 to 20 (even).
