Description

Grey Friars is an early 19th century brick house. It is constructed of Suffolk brick with a slate roof, and has two storeys. The house has a painted band dividing the floors, and a three-window front with sash windows containing glazing bars. A six-panel door is set within a rectangular fanlight. Cellarage exists beneath the building. The house is of group value with Nos 24-28 (even) and Nos 32-68 (even) Grey Friars Street. Dr Jameson, of the “Jameson Raid,” formerly resided at this address.
