Description

67 and 69 East Street are two adjoining buildings dating from between 1731 and 1750. They feature a red brick front with four windows, are two stories tall with an attic, and have a mansard roof with two gabled dormers. The buildings have a moulded brick eaves cornice and sash windows on the first floor, with two of the windows in No 67 lacking glazing bars. The ground floor is finished in stucco and includes a central round-arched entry to a yard. There are small bay windows for the shops. Nos 61 to 73 (odd) are part of a group that includes the National Westminster Bank, Lloyds Bank, Nos 6 and 10 to 26 (even), and the Red Lion Public House and its outbuildings.
