Description
Dairy Cottage, located 15 metres south-east of Jerrards, is a 17th-century dairy house that has been converted into a pair of cottages. It was restored in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features squared rubble-stone walls and has a buttress on the south gable end. The roof is made of stone slate with stone gable copings. There are stone stacks positioned left of centre on the ridge and at the right-hand gable, with a stack embrasure on the rear range. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows, which are 2-light wood-framed casements with rectangular leaded lights. The entrance leads into an inner porch with moulded jambs and a depressed-arch head. Inside the lobby, there are two plank doors with strap hinges, dating from the 20th century. To the south-east, there is a short rear range that is also two storeys high and has two windows, which are 2-light iron casements with lead lights.
