Description
Lambrook Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse with a core dating back to the 16th century, featuring significant later rebuilding and changes to its windows. The exterior is made of rubble-stone walls topped with stone gable-copings, and it has a slate roof with brick stacks at both the left and right gables. The building has two storeys and four windows, which are two-light wooden casements with glazing bars, wooden lintels, and wooden cills. The front door, located to the right of the centre, is a plank-and-muntin design, studded, and dates from the 20th century, with concreted jambs.
Inside, the farmhouse has an unheated central room with a rear corridor. The left-hand room features a compartmented ceiling with six main compartments, each further divided into four sections, and the beams have roll and hollow mouldings. There is an open fireplace with stone jambs, although the lintel has been replaced. This room also includes 17th-century panelling with recessed panels. The right-hand room has deep-chamfered ceiling beams that are crudely stopped.
