Description
The Old Library, The Cottage, and The Surgery is a terrace of three houses, including a surgery, dated 1901. The buildings feature rubble stone walls with ashlar dressings and a double Roman tile roof, with brick stacks at the ends and center. They are two storeys tall.
The Old Library, located at the left end, has a ledged door set in a 4-centred arch with a hoodmould above. The ground floor includes a three-light stone mullioned window with 4-centred arched lights, while the first floor has a plain three-light stone mullioned window.
The Cottage features a ledged door in a segmental arch. Its ground floor has a three-light stone mullioned window with 4-centred arched lights, and the first floor has a plain three-light stone mullioned window.
The Surgery has a panelled door in a segmental arch, with a single-light window with cast iron lattice glazing as a sidelight on the left, and a similar window on the right of the door. The ground floor also includes a three-light stone mullioned window with 4-centred arched lights, and the first floor has two two-light stone mullioned windows. All windows are fitted with casements that have horizontal glazing bars.
