Description

Fordington Mill is a 19th-century building that has been completely altered, but it retains two features from an earlier structure. These features include a 4-centred ashlar arch with a hollow chamfer and a recessed panel with plain and hollow chamfers, framed by cable moulding. The panel bears the initials WC, the date 1590, and a seated figure in high relief that once displayed an achievement of arms, now largely obliterated.
