Description
Great Goodwin Farm House is a house dated 1637, featuring the initials "W.C." on the door jambs. The building has a red brick ground floor and is clad in pebbledash on the front elevation, with 20th-century tile hanging above, some of which is in a fishscale pattern. It has a plain tiled roof and follows a lobby entry plan. The house is two storeys high with attics and includes a very large, restored multiple stack located to the right of the centre. There is a cornice over the ground floor that is rendered over. On both floors, there are three 3-light 20th-century windows. The door, positioned to the right of centre, consists of six panels and is framed in banded wood, topped with a cambered head and a lead hood of ogee section with fringed edges on braces. To the right end, there is a single-storey aviary with a slate roof, and further extensions to the rear are noted but are not of special interest. Inside, the ground floor features exposed chamfered ceiling joists.
