Description
Bury Knowle is an early 19th-century building that has been altered over time. It is two storeys high and constructed of ashlar stone, sitting on a semi-basement with brick additions at the back. The building features a moulded modillioned eaves cornice and sash windows. At the center of the south front, there is a pedimented centerpiece above the sash windows. The front doorway is framed in stone and includes an enriched fluted cornice with decorative paterae, scrolled brackets, and a pediment. A double curved stair leads up to the front door, which is adorned with cast-iron railings. There are later brick wings and a conservatory with fluted pilasters on the right side.
